Rockstar

So for whatever reason the pediatric residents at my program historically refer to ourselves collectively as rockstars. So we have this rockstar board in the 6th floor resident conference room where we leave messages for each other regarding great things that someone did. Whether for each other or a patient. Some of them are humorous some of them sweet. At anyrate it's fun to go by the bulletin board and read what's going on. So anyway there is a website that makes job specific shirts and low and behold there are lots of pediatrician shirts on there apparently (I mean who wouldn't want to be a pediatrician) Anyway there is one that says "Rockstar cleverly disguised as a Pediatrician" So one of the upper levels (when they were an intern) found it and got it and soon everyone else in their class wanted one so they all got them and started wearing them on Fridays when they're somewhere you can wear scrubs. So the tradition started that with the subsequent intern classes when you finish your first floor month you become a rockstar and your seniors get you a rockstar t-shirt so that you too can wear it on Fridays. So guess what? I'm now officially a rockstar....cleverly disguised as a pediatrician.
